My friend has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and lung cancer. They are not sure it is the same cancer. He is having a lobectomy to remove the lung cancer and then hopefully the Whipple surgery afterwards. Now he has been suffering with radiating lower back pain to his legs for over a week. He has had sciatica before but not for many years. I am worried that this lower back pain may mean that the pc tumor is growing and causing this. He is scheduled for a CT scan tomorrow, does anyone know if the CT scan will show the cause of the pain? We don't want him to undergo surgery for the lung tumor next week if it has spread.
