| need of some knowledge before drs tomorrow
Hi
Father Had massive stroke 6 yrs ago was left totally paralysed on left including loss of sight.
!0 days ago found he had advanced anus cancer, where the cancer is coming out of his back passage,unable to urinate semi permanent cathertar was done in surgery last week. passing stools is very very painful for him. a Scan was done and found advanced liver mets , advanced left lung mets and some mets on right lung. He doesn't want to live and is begging us every day to help . Dr's know of his wishes. We are meeting with all the dr's tomorrow and i am worried they are going to talk us into some palative radiation treatment (whatever that is). my question would we be causing him a more painful death by rejecting all treatment. he is on morphine orally and sleeps most of the day is only eating a few spoonfuls of food each day and a few sips of liquid. i feel the end isnt that far off anyway . what are your thoughts ?
