My mom was diagnosed August 14 with Stage III Pancreatic Cancer. Inoperable and has chosen no chemo. At the time it had not spread (that they could tell). She is in "excruating" pain in her hips, lower back and side now, a little over 3 weeks. Could it have spread that quickly?

Could the cancer be pressing on a nerve? Sometimes people do have the chemo just to try to control the size of the tumor pressing on an artery or nerve.
I am sorry about your mom. It is a pretty aggressive cancer and it can spread quickly.
