| Secondary Liver Cancer
Hi
My wife has tumours on her liver, which came from cancer on her lung which was removed in June 2008. I have posted this request in the 'Lung Cancer' Forum, and am reposting it here: Hi
My wife Rose has been diagnosed as having Salivary Gland Type Lung Cancer, A very rare one - only 1 in a 1000 lung cancers are of this type.
She has had a lung removed and is now considering chemotherapy as there is a 50/50 chance the cancer may have spread, but has been advised that the benfits are doubtful with this type of cancer.
Research I have discovered on the internet shows that 24 patients with this type of cancer did not respond to chemo.
Does anyone know of anyone who has or had this type of cancer?
Many thanks,
Pat
Since posting this three years ago, the cancer has spread to her liver. She has had one course of chemo last year, and is half way through a second course, but the tumours are seen to be still growing.
I have asked before if anyone else has experience of this type of cancer, but as it is so rare did not get any replies.
I am re posting with the same request.
Thank you for bearing with me,
Pat Mahoney
