| Re: My fathers diagnosis
Thanks familyrn. He's 77, hes booked in for the scans and biopsy. Basically the specialist said he was 98% sure it was cancer and said there is no time to wait for biopsy results and started the medication. The high psa and some other blood test for bone, his pain and abnormal prostate caused his diagnosis.
Im not sure what everything is but one set is tablets he has to take everyday for the next 3 weeks, the injection we have in the fridge to take back next week, then there is a course of anti biotics that he has to start taking 2 days before the biopsy.
I have been reading various threads and I just wondered what the usual prognosis is when its spread to the bones. I asked the specialist about radiation and he said no that wouldnt help now its spread.
