Urinary problems after radical prostatectomy - Cancer: Prostate Message Board

I had a robotic prostatectomy in late May. Since then, I've experienced frequent urination, burnin in the urethra and leakage. I've been taking Vesicare, but it has only helped a little. I've noticed that when I have an ejaculation (which is retrograde), things get much worse. Frequency increases, so does leakage, the burning becomes constant and my penis becomes very sensitive. This condition lasts for about three days. I asked my urologist and she had never heard of ejaculation making the problem worse.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have any advice that might help?

You might ask about or try an over-the-counter medication called AZO standard, a regimen to ease burning on urination. (It will turn your urine bright orange while you're taking it.)
