| Wrapping up Proton treatment at Loma Linda
I had meant to post a few times during my treatment down here but I managed to work remotely from an office I had at the Duplex I am staying at and kept pretty busy with many other activities after work hours.
I would like to thank the many responders who have given me so much useful information and support on my original thread... in particular dale2035 who gave me some encouragement on making Proton Treatment a reality. I was able to work through refinancing my house (wanted to do it anyways), working remotely while going through treatment, a small family loan and a great experience down here at Loma Linda.
I was accepted into the clinical trial that provides two treatments per day (in the same visit) and only requires 20 days of treatment vs the normal 45. There are some requirements for this trial that are geared toward early stage prostate cancer patients which I met and am glad to have participated.
At 37yrs old/young I am now officially the youngest patient to have received Proton at Loma Linda, previously there was a 38yr old which I spoke to before coming down.
So far things have been great and the only noticed side effects are some light fatigue (from the accelerated treatment program) and a little digestive issues which are minor.
I'll try and catch back up on the forum when I return home which is next week.
Thanks again,
Curry
