Laboratory and population-based research suggest that adequate levels of vitamin D reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer and may help suppress the growth and spread of prostate cancer cells in men who already have it..."
I was Vitamin D deficient until I was put on 50,000 international units a week for 8 weeks. Now I am at an optimal level (54). I look to be on a maintainance dose. John Hopkins bulletin suggest 15 minutes of sun exposure per day and 1,000 IU of Vitamin D.
