It is sometime since I have posted. My husband, with a stage 2, Gleason 9 prostate cancer is, as all the professionals have said, a complicated case as he has radiation and chemotherapy following surgery for rectal cancer seven years ago. Because of this, he could not have surgery for PC or external beam radiation. Having consulted several professionals, it was advised that HDR would be the best way to go. This treatment is not available in the Bahamas so we went to Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. The treatment was given by a radiation oncologist and a urologist. The care was excellent. All have advised he should continue on three monthly Lupron and have his PSA monitored closely. Now, we resume our normal life and hope and pray for the best.
