prostate cancer and hip and back pain

My Dad has been diagnosed with prostate cancer , he has had a course of raditherapy 6 months ago, but now in terrible pain in the lower back and hip, can only walk a short distance and then he is exhausted. Has anyone else experienced this?
From Debbie (worried daughter)

Re: prostate cancer and hip and back pain

Your Dad's symptoms may not be related to prostate cancer. He needs to visit his doctor for a check up. My hip also was painful and limiting me for a long time then had hip resurfacing. Pain free for the last five years. Radio Therapy is unlikely to be the cause. Present radio therapy has few side effects at 6 months post therapy.
