Surprised your urologist didn't address this when the blood panel PSA results were communicated. Your PSA # is actually low for your age - 4.0 is the "worry" threshold so, taken by itself, there is no red flag, per se.
In any case, research: Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). You have a classic symptom which can sometimes be alleviated with oral medication such as Cipro - under physician's orders, of course. BPH was the bane of my existence for almost 20 years before steadily rising PSA's/periodic painful biopsies turned it into something more onerous.
