Cunningham Clamp

Hi:

I've had recurrent Pca. Initially I had external beam radiation therapy in 07. In 2010 I had a HIFU procedure done. Additionally, I also had three TURPS performed over the past three years. As a result of these numerous surgical interventions, I'm now totally incontinent. In March of this year I briefly tried using the Cunningham Clamp in order to gain some symptomatic relief. After several days of use my urethra closed down and as a result I experienced urinary retention. I immediately stopped using this device. Currently (Nov 2010) my oncologist is suggesting I again begin using the Cunningham Clamp in order to control the incontinence. I'm naturally quite apprehensive to start using this device again, due to my earlier adverse experieince. Does anyone in the community have first hand experience with this device and if so did it's use prove personally beneficial?
