Speaking with my colo/rectal doctor today, after informing him that I had developed a fistula was very unsettleing. He is talking about removing my prostate as well as my bladder and my rectum. This is the worst-case scenerio of course, but he seems at a loss of what else to do. He had planned a diverting colostomy that was to be temporary to allow the ulceration to heal. Well the situation has changed.
He may be beyond his depth here. Surely there must be a specialist out there who can correct this situation.
Anybody, anybody at all, that has any knowledge of dealing with this, I would want to hear from, in the worst way.
Please help!!!
