First timer! I have read a great deal on the site regarding prostate issues and have found so much good advice and REAL assistance.
I had prostate biopsy yesterday morning and it was not the most fun thing I have done in years. I am virtually immune to "caines", as I found out for years at the dentist. It's still a bit bothersome but no blood flowing whatsoever.
I didn't ask the doctor the question of sex and have heard some suggestions but wanted to ask here, as I know I will get good responses.
I can tell you our experience - no one told us no sex after biopsy, but once diagnosed, Dr. Kim told us no more sex. The testosterone had to be suppressed. Not to be fresh, but I asked - not even a quickie before he starts treatment? - and she said (very seriously) Absolutely not.
You will have blood in your semen for up to 3 weeks, depending on where they stuck the biopsy needles and the number of cores. At first it will bright red from broken blood vessels, then it will turn brownish as the blood dries. You might want to wait a few days to give the broken blood vessels more time to heal.
sex a few weeks after a biopsy is just fine, but if you have your prostate removed or radiated its totally different. after my divinci op it was hell trying to have sex with my beautifull wife but there are so many helpfull options in that area you will find the right drug to help you get back your sex life good luck to you
