5 months after radical prostatectomy

It's been 5 months since surgery, having some problems with leakage and no erections. Will I be able to eventually control the leakage? How long for the erections to return?

Re: 5 months after radical prostatectomy

Loumar1684,
It's time to talk to the doctor. For the leakage I assume you are doing your Kegels and if not start. Also, in my opinion it helps to put a pad on and start walking getting off the sidewalk and on to a little rougher terrain if possible to promote the use all the little muscles etc. I had occasional stress incontinence for years if I twisted, reached, stepped funny, sat on a hard chair for years after surgery. It is very rare now but every now and then I have a little squirt just when I think that it will never happen again.
As for the erections try one of the ED drugs and/or a pump. Your doctor should be able to tell you if he tried to spare the nerves and how successful he thought he was. Don't wait too long as you need to use it if you can or lose permanently according to articles I have read.
Good Luck

Thanks... have done the Kegels every now and then, guess will try to make it a routine. Will check online for more info. Have not tried the ED drugs; guss it is time!! Never have considered a pump. I suppose I can ask him tomorrow during my next visit.
Thanks again.
