Getting closer to my 1st blood test since my surgery

I had the robotic surgery back on December 1 and just 4 more weeks till my first psa test since the surgery. Starting to get a little anxious, maybe a little nervous but confident things will be fine. I went into surgery a Gleason 8 and came out a 7 for what it's worth(4+4 to 4+3) better down than up. My Doctor was very pleased with the outcome and said there were no positive margins, all contained to the prostate. Even though I'm very pleased with the way everything went I'm still nervous about this psa test. I look back to my diagnosed date back in September and what a ride it's been! Very blessed to have had such a great Doctor and staff to get me thru it all and only 10 minutes from my house. Many people I talk to we're like me before my diagnoses in that they knew nothing about getting checked early but now that they see I was only 44, I've been able to get a few of my friends off their tail and in to get checked. Looking for a BIG FAT 0 in 4 weeks! Thanks for listening

Yes it is suffocating when waiting for the “numbers”. That seems to be the worse “side effect” from prostate cancer. I am on my twelfth year as a survivor with more than 50 times in anxiety.
Notwithstanding, I have learned that whatever the result may be, I always had a response to them. You surely will get those Zeros and peace of mind.

Sending you my advanced congratulations.

:)

best regards[/QUOTE]. I don't have any particular exercise, workout or sport that I do but I do stay on my feet all day, everyday(still need to start walking daily) Myself along with my two brothers own a auto aftermarket business that leaves very little down time and my 3 kids play sports so it's always on the go but we enjoy it. Enjoy it all while you can! The kids grow up quick and we all here know how quick our life situation can change. As far as the incontinence goes, it's much better and seem only to have a problem when I lift sometimes or make sudden quick movements. I've found it's even worse if I need to go and try to hold it at all. Wearing the pads never really bothered me at all, seemed like such a small sacrifice compared to the end result. I do still use 1 pad a day and need to slowly come off them and it's only a couple times a day that there is a problem, pad pretty dry when I get home.

Thank you for you reply first of all it it nice to talk to people in the same situation, done the surgery on the 24 11 11 back to work on the 24 01 12 like your self the hospital 10 mn from home the doctor and the nurses in words alone i can say enough how good and they were. i work in an engineering company looking after machines tools i stay on my feet all day just finishing my second week back at work and it has been better than when i start,I use about 2 pads a day most problem happen when lifting or moving fast or trying to do too much at work , i was told to take it easy not to do too much,as DIY man doing thinks at home as wella bit already things for us can only get better when you think what we dealt with.
best regards
