I had radioactive seeds implanted in 2007 with good success and a year and a half ago had a psa of less than 1. Over the last year I have noticed some problems with sciatic nerve in my left leg but didn't think much of it and I just had my labs done to check my PSA. I received the results today ahead of my appointment with a urologist next Monday and it was 200.59. Is this possible or could it be a false positive?

When was the last time you had a PSA taken before this? They usually put you on an annual PSA schedule after seeds, so you probably had a reading in 2011? Any urinary symptoms? Have you ever had prostatitis before?

I did have a PSA test in January of 2011 and it was less than 1, no urinary symptoms. Thank you for your response.
