Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) test

Has anyone had the CellSearch (or other) CTC test done? Did you have a baseline, and then have it periodically tracked over time? If it came out positive but there was no evidence of radiographic progression, were you re-classified as M1 (Metastatic)? Do you think it made a difference in your treatment plan? Do you think it is a good way to monitor progression?

Also, for anyone who has discussed it with your oncologist but decided against it, why was that? Is cost a factor, or does insurance/Medicare cover it?

- Allen
