Is ultrasound really necessary for deciding on prostate size and as another tool to add to the equation such as PSa, free psa, PCA3, and MRI? Is the approximate size from the DRE enough info or is it really necessary from the ultrasound. Will a Urologist really check it without a biopsy? The reason I ask, is because I still don't have my prostate desnisty but just an approximate size of 30-40cc. I do have BPH.
