ciberknife

From what I am reading from you guys, it looks like ciberknife is the way to go for the low risk, long in the tooth group. Where would I find the best, most experenced ciberknife treatment facility --- closest to the Atlanta area? Is ciberknife also limited to one set of treatments, as is the other beam treatments.
What does that mean specificly, say as, in reguards to a cancer elswhere in the body?

Re: ciberknife

I'm certain that if you contact Accuray, either online or by phone, they can tell you where your closest CyberKnife treatment center would be.

It's only one set of four or five treatments. Because the total dose is only half that of IMRT, while the biologically effective dose is higher (in my case, over a third higher), local re-treatment is possible, although the local failure rate is exceedingly low.

You can always be treated for other cancers that may occur elsewhere. I think CyberKnife was first used for brain cancers. The radiation is very precise and the dose outside the target zone falls off very quickly.

By the way, it's not just for those who are "long in the tooth," or for just those with low risk PC. Let us know how it goes.
