| PCA and lung cancer
Hi all It's been awhile. I haven't been visiting the board for the past few years because things with my husband have been going pretty smoothly.
Here's a little background info. He was dx'd about 5 years ago with PCA Gleason 7 (4+3) PSA 9.6 He had surgery that failed after 6 months and then radition treatments that shortly failed too. Took Eligaard only for 2 years and has been off HT for about 1 1/2. All his PSA's have been great - undetectable. In Sept he has developed a cough that he can not get rid of so finally talked to the doctor about and got an xray taken. Dr called and said a shadow was seen in his lungs that needs to be checked out. Said it was not pneumonia. I read somewhere that mets usually strikes in your bones with PCA and the second favorite area is the lung. Pretty scared. But his PSA's have been so good. Is it possible this could be lung cancer from PCA? He'll be getting a CT scan tomorrow so we'll know soon. What are your opinions on this?
