narrow stools, clean scope?
I am a healthy 40 year old woman and have had bloating, pencil thin stools, and the feeling of being unable to empty my bowels completely for over 7 months. I finally went to my doc, who sent me to a GI, who sent my for a colonoscopy. I had that this morning, and it was really not bad at all.
Anyway, the scope came back totally clean. The GI said I probably just had minor IBS. I hope he is right, but I'm worried we could be missing something.
Wouldn't a scope catch any cancer in that area? Can IBS really make your stools thin? What other tests should I ask for?
