 What next?
I have been treated medically for what was supposedly an anal fissure for 6+ months. Bright red bleeding, severe pain on and after BM and itching on anus. Had a colonoscopy 5 months ago to rule out other causes. Last week finally broke down to have anal fissurectomy while having some other non- related outpatient surg. Surgeon told my husband while i was "out" that there was no fissure. WHAT ELSE COULD THIS BE?? I am so worried that it might be anal or colorectal cancer that wasnt identified during colonoscopy. I dont go back to surgeon for another week and i am killing myself with worry. Thought? Thanks for your input.
