Unhappy What could it be?

Starting back in December 2012, I had a real bad week or so of diarreha. I took lots of pepto bismol so I could relieve my symptoms. Just as it seemed it was gone, I went once more and noticed streaks of bright red in the stool. This happened a few years back when I strained a large BM, so I wasn't too worried. No blood until January when I again had diarreha and saw blood the next day. Now, my stools have been fairly normal size and color, but about twice a month since, I've seen a little, maybe an inch, streak of bright red blood only on the surface. I did have an instance where I noticed more mucous and a hint of blood.

I'm 17 male in otherwise great condition. I have no other symptoms. Not tired, no narrow stolls, no weight loss, nothing like that. My diet consists of a glass of water a day and moderate fiber intake with regards to this issue. No family history of these types of cancers or other things like Chrons or hemmroids

However, I have had pinworms since before this incident and struggle to grt rid of them. Moreover, I seem to notice that the blood comes during times when I'm stressed. Not ALWAYS, but it correlates in a few cases.

Re: What could it be?

Stop worrying and go to a doctor. You might have an inflammatory bowel disease or you might just be too obsessed on your G.I tract.

I'm an RN and I have a child with inflammatory bowel disease so I'm not making light of your situation. Go to a doctor and get checked out.
