| Cherry angioma or nodular melanoma?
10 days ago I noticed a 4-5mm blood blister looking lesion next to an atypical nevus. It had a red ring all around, that slowly spread and now looking a bit like a bruise.
4 years ago I had something similar in exactly the same location, though it wasn't that big and eventually turned into a pink spot that remain unchanged until then.
I went to the GP who referred me to a dermatologist under the 2 week rule.
This "blood blister" looking thing though is firm to touch and more purple than red. It also has some areas where is getting darker.
I had my dermatologist appointment yesterday and been told that it is a cherry angioma and a benign tumor collision, but still getting an excision biopsy at some point.
My question is: can a cherry angioma appear that large within 1 week and change so rapidly?
