| Re: Question for Lisa1991
Hi My basal cells were on my chest area. I actually had the spots when I was 28 and 29 but did not know what they were. The third one is going to be removed in one week. I have not had one on my face so i have not had to have mohs surgery. The thing with basal cell is none of mine looked a like. I would go to a derm and have your spot biopsied. I don't know what kind of basal I had but it is very rare that is spreads. Do not wait and go because the longer you wait the bigger it can get. I am very thankful that I went because in november of 2003 three months after my basal cell surgeries they found a malignant melanoma stage two. I was one that thought I would never get skin cancer but funny it was my worst fear. The melanoma was in a previous mole that changed when I was pregnant with my dd. So it grew and changed turning red to where you could almost see through it. If that spot has been there that long I would definately get it checked.
