does birth control leave brown spots after tanning? - Cancer: Skin Message Board

Hello, I am 17 years old and I am on Birth Control due to Ovarian Cyst and because of the Birth Control my face recently broken out and I was wondering if i went tanning to dry up the pimples would it cause brown spots?? I am not looking to go alot just maybe a couple times to get some color and also to dry out these pimples...please help!

I just wanted to caution you about tanning while taking birth control pills.

There has been shown a relationship between estrogen & autoimmune disorders (specifically lupus) & UV radiation (i.e., sunlight & tanning beds) can trigger lupus.
