Mole Question... Could it be?? - Cancer: Skin Message Board

Hello Everyone-

I'm new on here and I've only posted once before. Last night my Fiancee and I were sitting down, and she mentioned if I had noticed the mole on my forehead, to which I said "What mole?" She had me feel it, and its hard for me to see because I don't have much, if any, peripheral vision, but it felt raised, almost like a pimple, but she said after looking at it that it was definitely a mole. Anyway, she mentioned that it seemed to her that it had gotten bigger as of late, and that she thinks it has changed color to a brownish/ red, more brown though than red.

This got me a little worried, especially because I'm rather young (22) and of where its located, about an inch above my right eyebrow. Should I be worried about this. I've already called my doctor, but I can't get in for a few days. I don't know what skin cancer looks like, or its symptoms, so any help or advice would be really really appriciated. Could this be skin cancer??

Good thing you've made an appt just to be sure. I'm sure it will probably be fine. Might come back as abnormal but doesn't sound like it's really that "angry" of amole. mY daughter just had 5 removed. all 4 were abnormal. one was irritated. All were reddish brown in color. I had melanoma so we keep a close eye on her.
