When does Efudex itching start? - Cancer: Skin Message Board

Hi, I want to start treating skin cancer with Efudex right away, but before I do, i want to know how long after you apply it does the itching start? I would really appreciate an answer right away.

Oh I'm sorry (my bad) I thought you were the other one that I had answered. LOL!

Efudex can begin it's side effects differently with each person. Some will feel it within a few days others might take a week. Its variable with the person. Some have a really hard time with it while others say "WOW! I loved it!" but the end result is the new baby smooth skin once treatment is completely over and the healing process is over. Takes approx 6 weeks to see all the smoothness and all the AK gone. Good luck and I think you will be very happy once the treatment is over with and you see the complete treatment.
