Dermatofibroma - Cancer: Skin Message Board

Anyone ever been diagnosed with this? Apparently it is a benign skin tumor that isn't supposed to turn cancerous but I did read somewhere that there has been some cases where these HAVE metastisized. I have one on my arm. It doesn't itch or anything but seems to be growing/changing VERY slowly. I recently went to the derm and he said it was benign but just wanted to hear other people's experiences.

I have one of both legs in the same place. Mine grew large also. I haven't seen any that have turned cancerous and normally they dont. But ....my derm told me that there have been some very rare instances that turned into cancer. VERY RARELY!
