white-ish patch going across my lip. - Cancer: Skin Message Board

I have this white-ish looking area on my upper lip. If you pull the lip tight you can see white spots or pustules? they seem to be growing because I can now feel some of them on my lip. There is no fluid in them. Could this white patch be a lip cancer? It started about 2 weeks ago and has spread. Went to a derm. he didnn't know what this was he said mabey a dermatitis and gave me 2 creams. The creams aren't working. This is on my lips on the outside and it is on the upper lip and bottome lip.

Try to go to another derm, it can be pigmentation like vitiligo as vitiligo can spread.

I agree. I don't think it's cancer because cancer doesn't behave like that, but you do need to see someone else who can give you something to use. You may wish to look it up on the net and try to find something that resembles it.

it is most likely fordyce's condition or fordyce spots. they are nothing to be concerned about except cosmetic aspect of it. they are normal oil glands.
