moles, loads at once!!! please help!!!! - Cancer: Skin Message Board

my boyfriend (20) has always had a few moles, but recently he has suddenly got loads some of which are pin ***** sized others are much larger, i was looking for discolouration etc and noticed some minor odd patches on a few where there were tiny bits of normqal skin coloured, tiny patches of darker and lighter moles and others which do have a faded effect as they go out, however they dont look half as bad as the pictures i have seen on the internet, i dont want to worry him but what should i do, should i get him to go to the doctors?!?

I wouldn't panic, but it would be wise to get a professional skin check. I have been going through the same thing over the last 5 or more years (I'm currently 29). Moles have been popping up left and right with growing sizes and irregular color/boundaries. I have had 4 removed so far and none were positive for cancer (although they called them atypical nevi.. meaning they may or may not eventually turn into cancer). It may or may not be what he is getting.. but it's always best to get a professional opinion either way.
