Anyone using Carac? - Cancer: Skin Message Board

I have been using Carac cream for 4 weeks now, and have had all of the burning, itching, crusty redness that I was told I would, but my doc said to use it for 4 to 6 weeks, and I don't go back until mid Nov, so my question is, how do you know when you're "done"...I don't want to apply this any longer than I have to, but I don't want to have to do this again because I stopped too soon, so does anyone know how to tell when you've had enough of the stuff? I just finished three weeks with Carac. The usual treatment is three or four weeks. After three weeks my dermatologist felt like I had had enough and I am now almost completely healed. If you've had a strong reaction for two weeks or more, I think it has done its job, but your doctor is the best one to decide. You'll be very pleased with the results.
