I had Mohs surgery 1 week ago on the right side of my nose. I ended up with a skin graft repair. Today was the first day I was allowed to take off the bandage and clean and redress the wound. I don't know what this should look like at this point. It's mostly pink but is dark on one edge. Might just be old blood, might not? Can anyone tell me what I should expect? Thanks!
Had Moh's surgery on my nose for BCC a couple of months ago. The surgeon used a flap rather than a graft. The flap is large and is reasonably well healed, but is still pink and somewhat swollen. I think it may take up to a year for this to settle down That's just my opinion, based on Moh's surgery I had on the other side of my nose several years ago.
Thanks for the reply! Whatever that was came off this morning and I think all is well. I've done everything they told me to, at this point I'm tired of worrying. It's going to do whatever it's going to do and I should just be thankful the cancer is gone.
This is your second Mohs surgery? This is my first, and I've seen the statistics that say I'll probably be doing it again. Best wishes to you and I sincerely hope you never have to do it again!
