What should I expect?

I went to the dermatologist April 1st just for general reasons. I had a spot on the side of my breast that the doctor removed stating that it was slightly discolored. The following week, I received the phone call telling me that I needed to go to a skin cancer specialist because I have melanoma. She asked if I had any questions which at the time I did not because I was in shock. I received a call the following day to set up my appointment "ASAP" which isn't until May 7th.

The original spot that was removed is about as deep as a pencil eraser and maybe double the size of one around. I have no idea what stage or level (as I said I was in shock and didn't know what to ask to begin with).
So what exactly should I expect when I go back in for the surgery on the
7th? and what kind of questions should I ask?
Thank you for your advise
