 Tongue Cancer (Squamous Cell) - Prominent Lymph Nodes
Hello everyone,
My boyfriend has a recent diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue, and I'm not really sure where to go from here. We've had the PET scan, CT scans, and blood work, and are meeting with an Otolaryngology Surgeon tomorrow. We've already schedule second opinions at two different facilities, but this diagnosis is driving me a little bonkers - I hate having to wait - its been two weeks since the original diagnosis.
The scans revealed that there are "two prominent lymph nodes detected". Does that mean its spread from his tongue? I know that we'll find out tomorrow morning, but if there is anyone out there with experience, I'd love to hear from you. Please let me know if I left out so important info.
