I have a a bump on the end of my nose for two years. it looks like a pimple that never goes away. i went to free screening and was told was basel cell cancer and needed removed. i do not have insurance because i am diabetic and no on will give me any. Any suggestions?
Insurance or not you need to have this removed ASAP.A plastic surgeon would be best. Call and ask what it would cost see if you could make payments. Also many hospitals could help with cost if your low income, call and set up a appointment to see a social worker who will help you fill out paper work for assistance to help pay for this.

You should find a surgeon who specializes in MOHS surgery. That is where they try to remove as little tissue as possible until they get clear margins. I had a basal cell lump on my nose. It was misdiagnosed at Stanford Hospital and now I have a large scar. They had to cut 4 times until they got clear margins. It is best to get it taken care of right away as the cancer can grow down deep. A year later I developed a weird bump under my eye. The dermatologist (same one who misdiagnosed me) said it was nothing. I insisted on a biopsy. It was basal cell again. I had the MOHS surgery with only one slice taken and no scar.
