I've had this very faint brown line on my pinky nail bed for about 2-3 years. I didn't think about googling it till Thursday night, when the word melanoma popped up, my heart literally sank. But then, things like deficiency came up as well, and other things. I was really confused. I'm quite dark as I am British Asian, My dad has many of them and he says 'age' but I'm not sure. The line is vertical and straight. No pain or physical symptoms. My GP will see it on Wednesday and he said he is 'less certain' as I am a teen. In the meantime, I cant stop thinking about it. Only my granddad died of testical cancer and that's the only history I know off. My GP said he will use a microscope to see what's causing it. I'm in my final year of GCSE's and stressed obviously. Can I have some advice on how to help my ease of mind till Wednesday? Every time I look at my nail, I get really worried. Thank you. Btw, I have no other 'abnormal' moles on my body or anything else suspicious.
