Is that Brisbane in Australia? If so you will have an abundance of medicare doctors you can go too, also Google skin cancer clinics in Australia (which is your best option) because GP's have little idea and would refer you to a specialist skin doctor if they are not sure. But most GP medical centre's can see you within the hour anyways
I recently had something removed that the doc said did not look like cancer, got the pathology back and it was a melanoma. Now I have to get a larger area cut away.
Basically you have a mole that has changed, it could be nothing, or it could be something, either way you MUST get it checked.
Stop the google searches and trying to compare, we are not experts, mne did not look like any skin cancers on the web, and well here I am with a melanoma.
Just chill, see a doctor, and if you have fair skin and sun tan to any degree, I suggest you make 6 month skin cancer clinic visits a must to just have them scan you skin and check for any changes.
When I heard the big Melanoma word, well it freaked me out. But I caught the change very early, it is sitting on the top, has apparently not gone deep to spread. So they just need to cut out a larger area of skin to make sure no abnormal cells near the Cancer can infect and spread. I am hoping they got it all in biopsy stage and this is just sweeping the path clean.
