| | Concerned after MOHS
Hi, I am interested in how things turned out for others.. I had an excision and skin graft on my nose for a BCC 9 weeks ago. In Australia they just seem to slice and dice, not much Mohs, probably because skin cancer is so prevalent here. It still looks pretty bad I think, although I was told that the skin graft took well. The margin between my nose and the graft is still very obvious and of course has made me very self conscious, plus the colour and the texture of the skin graft stand out a lot. I am glad I work from home now, I used to be a high school teacher and teenagers can be scathing when it comes to your physical appearance. My husband has been supportive but I know he thinks it looks bad. Any feedback would be much appreciated. I was very unprepared for what this would be like, plastic surgeons can be pretty blasť about it all.
