For the past week ive had a very, very light cough that hasnt managed to go away, Ive been feeling drowsy and ive just found a small lump directly under my chin thats quite hard, and could easily be a gland.
Im 17 and dont smoke, but before last week i was with my grandad who smokes alot, which couldve easily caused the light cough.
Am I being paranoid? Or should I be concerned?
Its more rubbery hard than stone hard, but then again you cant really squeeze it or change its shape. It feels like other things I know are glands, but may have tissue over it or something. it isnt painful.
I havent been getting any of those other symptoms apart from the cough, but its a very light, dry cough and a simple "ahem" usually gets rid of that. I heard difficulty swallowing is the main symptom. I ate dry bread, chicken, pork, biscuits and beef today and it all went down fine.
My doctor checked the cough out today (i went there on a different matter and i didnt mention the lump) and he said my airways sound all clear and it should go away within a few weeks, maybe sooner.
I think a few things have just come along at once (ive been getting migraines too) and ive ended up paranoid.
