I am a bit of a worrier but I have a real problem I need help with. My friend was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer last April, age 38. He had his teeth removed and a peg tube fitted. He had 38 radiation txs and 3 rounds of chemo concurrent. By the grace of God last November, his pet scan revealed he was clear. He has been checked by his ENT once a month, doc says he looks great (scoped his throat) and he doesn't need to see him until April.Anyway last Friday he developed a cough with green phlegm. He went to a walk in clinic and the doc listened to his chest and gave him antibiodics.Does this sound like the cancer has spread or just the flu?His family all had the flu but I worry so much.Would the doc have heard anything in his chest? Considering his throat cancer diagnosis would the doc have sent him to his oncologist if he suspected something? Please respond, I am very scared!
Thanks so much!
