At such a young age I highly doubt it is throat cancer. I treat cancer patients and have never treated someone so young for throat cancer. I would suggest you go back to your doctor, like they suggested, since the patches are still there and even worse. Maybe you have some kind of throat infection that still has not been diagnosed. You need a swab culture taken from your throat, possibly. Maybe it's an infection caused from smoking. I'm so proud of you for quitting smoking! Smoking is so horrible for your health. You know, I see so many patients with cancer who come in for treatments smelling of smoke! They still can't give up that dirty habit even when they have cancer. It's so sad. Don't rely on medicine to cure you of smoking-related diseases, start with a healthy life-style, and not smoking or drinking are the most important ones to start with!
