| Got submardibular salivary gland tumor?
I read (elsewhere) that surgery is usually the treatment of choice for salivary gland cancer, but may benefit from radiation after surgery. Proton therapy was effective for me for a different location; I am wondering if anyone has experienced help from proton therapy or other readiation as a primary treatment of as adjunct to surgery or chemo therapy for salivary gland cancer. The person who has the problem is not yet on the log. I have found this web site very helpful with my problem. Without giving specifics about his situation, I am wondering if he would find some guidance and support here. What do you think? Thanks. I would appreciate an early reply. I think he is getting a fine needle biopsy this week. I am betting it is cancer, but not metastasized.
