feels like stuck in throat
I have been having difficulty swallowing, but it is usually only when I am not sitting up straight, or lying on my side on the couch. Happens with rice alot, popcorn, oatmeal. Even sitting at my desk at work, just slouching a bit, when I eat lunch, bread or something. It is like it is stuck, and it takes sometimes 1/2 hour of literally forcing myself to cough the food back up, but it's not at all like vomiting, it comes from my throat. During the time I am coughing, I produce a ton of saliva, which I swallow, and it makes it even worse and can hurt. Doesn't happen all the time, but can be very scary. I try to chew as much as possible before swallowing, and take smaller bites, but doesn't matter. I was told that this can be common with reflux and if you are a larger person, but I don't have reflux, and I am 5'5", 135lbs. Any info would be great.
