Huge lump, no insurance
Hello,
I'm posting for my brother in law.
He's had a lump just above his Adam's apple for about 8 yrs. it's about the size of a bouncy ball.
He doesn't have insurance but needs to get it looked at.
Does anyone have any advice?
He says it doesn't hurt, just sore every once in awhile. For the most part it itches... He had his tonsils out about 12 yrs ago but that's about it...

first of all, i want to reassure you that he might not have throat cancer. i noticed you posted on the throat cancer board......and I don't want you to panic. It might be a thyroid problem, nodules on his thyroid, or an enlarged thyroid, which are much less scary than cancer. I would advise him to go to an ENT or even a regular doctor. They can feel his throat, and see what they think.....please don't think the worst!
