Hello manolia. I am having my thyroid out on December 6th and my doctor tells me that if everything goes well that I can return to work a week later. It also depends on the type of work that you do. If it's a strenuous job then I would think it would be a longer period of time out for recovery. Best wishes to you.

Everyone is different. Since you are in the UK, I think they give you several weeks off.

I was working from home, so I was back within 3 days. If I had gone out to work, I would have waited a week just because I was tired.
