Re: thyroid cancer
All I can speak from is experience...when I was 18 years old (my birthday is tomorrow I'll be 58!!) I was in Uncle Sam's Army (yep, one of those old female vets) and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer...they took our one side and a week later went back in and removed the other side and the little "bridge"...I have been on medication since then...what is that, 40 freakin years? Who'd have thought time would have gone that fast...anyway, I , like 75% of Americans have trouble sleeping...don't think it's due to the missing thyroid on my part, just figure that's life...I take Tylenol Pm and get on with things..... You may want to switch docs, though, if you aren't comfortable with them and don't feel they're taking you seriously...it's important to have someone you can actually talk with...good luck to you!!
