angelawong 8 Newbie (female) Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Singapore Posts: 1	Stretched nerve after thyroid surgery, anyone? I went thru 2 surgeries as they are unable to confirm that the lump is cancerous on the spot of the first surgery. They sent the lump for further testing and confirmed it is cancerous one week later. A 2nd surgery was performed to remove thyroid gland and lymph nodes. They stretched the nerve of my right arm during the 2nd surgery. Does anyone know if it's a common risk to stretched the nerve during thyroid surgery?
