| Micro carcinomas
I had my thyroid removed a few weeks ago. The pathology reports showed that I had 3 micro carcinomas. They removed the whole thyroid but said that there is always a bit of tissue left around or close to the windpipe. One doc...the endocronologist...suggests that I do radiation treatments just for safe measure. The surgeon...and ENT...said he wouldnt really worry about it. That if the tissue grows back that later it can be biopsied...
I feel like the treatments for "just in case" would give me a good piece of mind. Im looking for advice.
What are other opinions? Ive never had to deal with this and Im clueless on radiation treatments. I was told it would be 2 pills but there are alot of restrictinos as well as side effects.
